How Does Ironport Work
Ironport port works by sitting inbetween your mailserver and the outside work. Emails get sent from the sender directly to ironport which uses a series of filters to remove spam email and then passes clean emails to your mailserver. Usually we handle all this including configuration of your mailserver so you don't have to.
Do I Get Chance To Review Blocked Emails
Ironport works on 2 main levels. The first level stops emails from known spammers before they even reach you to confirm if it's valid. The second level scans the content of the email and if this is tagged as spam then once a day you get a quarantine report which allows you to release these emails if you want. Doing this removes the need for you to double check the hundreds of spam emails that would otherwise need you to confirm if they are spam or not.
How Can You State It Is 99.9% Effective
Well the first thing to say is no anti-spam solution is 100% effective but we've been using Ironport for years and it's by far the best solution available.
